LT Dreams of Winning a Super Bowl in Dallas

When LaDainian Tomlinson was growing up, he dreamed of one day being on the Dallas Cowboys, just like everyone else he grew up with in Waco, Texas.  Well, he hasn’t exactly ended up with Big D, but that doesn’t mean he won’t have a chance to play for a championship in the city he idolized.  With the Super Bowl being played in Dallas this season, Tomlinson is just one game away from playing in Dallas for a chance to win a Super Bowl, something he says he has been thinking about since he was six years old.

Tomlinson will first have to go up against a staunch Steelers defense that was historically good this season against the run.  The Jets have used LT in the passing game all season, however, and they’ll likely be doing exactly that once again.  Though Tomlinson is no longer the stat monster that he used to be, he has his best opportunity to win a championship this season with the Jets, a team that has been talking about the Super Bowl before the season even began.  In San Diego, LT had a brilliant career, though his time in the postseason was marred by injury and losses by an underachieving Chargers team.  When LT returns to Waco this  year for his annual camp in his home town, he’s hoping that he’ll have a Super Bowl ring to show off to his hometown fans.
