Whenever veteran players who have been with their teams awhile decide to change teams, they bring their immense knowledge of that team along with all of their talents. This may have fans of the New York Jets worried the next time they face their rivals, the New England Patriots.
The Patriots recently acquired Shaun Ellis, who was a longtime veteran of the Jets. According to NFL.com, though, Jets coach Rex Ryan isn’t worried about what Ellis will bring to the Patriots, saying that he brings “mentality” more than “secrets.” Ryan went on to say, “As far as the playbook, if that was (safety) Jim Leonhard going over there or somebody that was in the back end that knows the front coverage and all that (it would have an effect). Shaun’s role was basically in a phone booth, so it was obvious he did a great job for us. I really don’t worry about that.”
The New England Patriots hardly need any help, considering that they are widely considered one of the most feared names in the entire league. The Patriots are set to make another run for the top prize in 2011. Be there by getting New England Patriots tickets from StubHub.
