Moore Hits Court Instead of Field

Right now, the entire National Football League is on hold because of a lack of new collective bargaining agreement. The owners and players in the league have been in near-constant negotiations to try to reach a new CBA, but a deal has yet to be solidified. Because of this, teams can’t actually hold practices, and players have been left to their own devices in order to keep in shape this offseason.

Some team members decided to get together to hold practice without coaches, while others have worked out on their own. Chicago Bears cornerback D.J. Moore has his own method for keeping in shape. According to the Chicago Tribune, Moore revealed, “I’ve been playing a lot of basketball because that’s the best way to stay in shape. You’re always running around. You’re always moving.”

The decision to use basketball to keep in shape doesn’t seem to be concerning Bears head coach Lovie Smith, who expressed his confidence that Moore would be ready once the season begins. The Chicago Bears, like other teams in the league, are itching to take the field and get the season started. When that happens, get Chicago Bears tickets from StubHub.
