Lockout Could Be Over

For months now, the only thing that has been the focus of the National Football League is the lockout affecting every part of the league. The lockout is due to the lack of a new collective bargaining agreement between the owners and players after the old one expired. As the negotiations continued, speculation began to rise about how it would affect the upcoming season.

Now, the wait appears to be about over. According to the Chicago Bears website, the NFL’s owners and players were together over the weekend and worked until 3 a.m. on Monday morning in order to reach a basic agreement. Fans should wait to celebrate quite yet, though, because the details of the deal have yet to be hammered out. Once the document is complete, it must go through a series of approvals and votes before it actually signals the end of the lockout.

Whenever the lockout ends, the Chicago Bears and the rest of the teams in the league will be focusing on locking in free agents and getting ready for the upcoming season. Be there to cheer on the Bears by reserving Chicago Bears tickets from StubHub.
