The players have approved the new collective bargaining agreement, so now the season can officially commence. For the Chicago Bears, that means heading to Bourbonnais, IL to Oliver Nazarene University for training camp. Training camp will start on Friday when the players will go through physicals. The next two days after that will features practices without pads, per NFL guidelines.
According to the Bears’ website, head coach Lovie Smith spoke about finally getting the season started and said, “I’m excited to start working together as a team and excited to see the guys. I haven’t seen any of the guys forever. So I’m just pumped up about us getting back together as a team and starting to work on the goals that we’re going to set for the season.”
The rest of the schedule for practices will be released. Training camp is only one of the things on the Bears’ radar right now, as the teams are also scrambling to land free agents before they are snapped up.
