Chargers in Business After Win

The Chargers are up their usual tricks again.  After a horrible middle stretch to the season that had people calling for Norv Turner’s head on a spike, the Chargers have blown out two teams in back-to-back weeks.  On Sunday, the Chargers looked like the superior team from the get-go, which ended up with a 37-10 win over the Buffalo Bills to move them to 6-7.  For the second straight week, Philip Rivers looked sharp and again looks like one of the best quarterbacks in the league, a very good sign as the Chargers hope to run the table and squeeze into the playoffs.

The game also had an interesting feel, as there were plenty of Bills fans littering Qualcomm Stadium.  But even with the fan support, the Chargers dominated, letting up just three points to the Bills’ offense.  The Bills’ only score was on a defensive touchdown, as Rivers fumbled in the endzone.  With two convincing wins in a row, the Chargers are still alive at 6-7 and are hoping to catch the Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders, two teams that continue to win but have looked anything but impressive.  The Chargers now get to host the Baltimore Ravens, a team that is still vying for the top seed in the AFC.
