Wow, what a game! We sure hope you were at Notre Dame Stadium this past weekend, because this was one for the ages!  The Notre Dame Fighting Irish won in dramatic fashion against the Washington Huskies 37-30 in overtime. The Domers have improved their overall record to 4-1. The Irish just keep winning the close ones!  According to the AP article (via SI.com), coach Charlie Weis had this to say:

”I’m just happy, really happy for these kids. They just keep fighting and fighting and fighting.”

Fighting was the name of the game. (Well, these are FIGHTING Irish, aren’t they?) Notre Dame had to make some huge plays to insure their victory, and the defense was as much a part of the win as the Golden Tate-Jimmy Clausen air attack.
