NCAA Championship Game Is Butler vs. UConn

A legendary roots-deep college basketball program vs. the new red-hot Cinderella team: The UConn Huskies vs. the Butler Bulldogs. Tonight’s NCAA Championship Game is a matchup between these two teams as the Huskies and Bulldogs fight to the finish, and it’s either team’s game to win as the entire nation gets behind either UConn or Butler for the collegiate basketball championship.

Butler and UConn are both underdogs this year, with UConn entering the NCAA Tournament as a No. 3 seed in the West and Butler a No. 8 seed in the Southeast. UConn made it past Bucknell, Cincinnati, SDSU and Arizona to have a shot at the national title, while Butler beat Old Dominion, Pitt, Wisconsin and Florida en route to the championship game.

In tonight’s game, Butler’s defense will be one of the deciding factors in which way the game goes. Matt Howard’s physicality caused him to be in early foul trouble Saturday against VCU, and Howard is no stranger to racking up foul after foul on the court. He has to be careful in tonight’s game, especially matched up against a dynamic offense starring Kemba Walker. Butler’s defense shines with Ronald Nored is on his A-game, and tonight’s Walker-Nored offense-defense matchup is sure to be one of the most intriguing aspects of the game.  Stick around to see who’s crowned the next NCAA college basketball national champion!
