Thunder Outlast Grizz in 3OT
May 10, 2011It was one of the craziest games I’ve ever seen. The Thunder and Grizzlies just went back and forth, exchanging the lead and constantly tying at the end of periods. After three overtimes, the Thunder finally came up with the 133-123 victory. After struggling in the first three games of the series, Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook had a huge effort, dropping 40 points to go with five boards and five assists. Kevin Durant was held somewhat in check early in the game, but he came on strong in the overtime periods to finish with 35 points and 13 boards.

Grizz Upset Spurs
April 18, 2011The Memphis Grizzlies netted the first playoff win in the history of the franchise yesterday, taking down the San Antonio Spurs in the first matchup of their first round series. The Grizzlies were powered by power forward Zach Randolph in their 101-98 victory, as Randolph dropped 25 points and 14 rebounds. Memphis coach Lionel Hollins said he was glad to get the monkey off the franchise’s back. “It’s nice from an annoyance perspective to have it out of the way, because I don’t have to answer questions about being 0 and 13,” Hollins told reporters.
