The Los Angeles Lakers are locked in a 2-2 tie in their series with the New Orleans Hornets in the first round of the NBA playoffs. Over the weekend, the Lakers took the lead in the series 2-1 on Friday with a 100-86 win against the Hornets, but on Sunday the Hornets narrowly took the victory 93-88.
In the first game, Kobe Bryant showed his offensive prowess with 30 points, six rebounds, two assists, three steals and one block. Pau Gasol, who had struggled in the earlier games of the series, also had an impressive effort with 17 points and 10 rebounds. The Lakers outscored the Hornets in all but the third quarter of the game.
The Lakers’ loss on Sunday was in large part because of an impressive effort by Hornet Chris Paul, who had 27 points, 13 rebounds, 15 assists and two steals. Bryant had 17 points, but also suffered an ankle injury in the fourth quarter.
The Lakers will be at home for the next game of the series, which takes place on Tuesday, April 26. Be there by reserving Los Angeles Lakers tickets from StubHub.
