The Los Angeles Lakers are now in the aftermath of a disappointing run against the Dallas Mavericks. One thing seems sure, though, and that is the fact that coach Phil Jackson doesn’t appear to be returning as the coach next year. So far, no one at the Lakers has revealed who the team is eyeing to take over for Jackson.

Jackson’s departure, though, has many players reminiscing on their many years with the superstar coach. According to ESPN, Lakers star Kobe Bryant gushed, “Phil … it’s tough for me to put into words what he’s done for me. I grew up under him. So, the way I approach things, the way I think about things, not only in basketball but in life in general, a lot of it comes from him because I’ve been around him so much. So, it’s a little weird for me to think about what next year’s going to look like.”

Analysts are guessing that the roster will get shaken up along with the coaching staff, so next season could bring a lot of changes for the Lakers.
