    Just a couple of years ago, New Orleans point guard Chris Paul was considered to be the best at his position in the National Basketball Association by many fans and experts.  However, injuries and a suspect supporting cast have changed that general view of Paul’s game over the past two or so years.  People might want to re-think things yet again, as Paul is playing like a man possessed in the postseason.  Paul evened the Hornets’ first-round series with the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers with a triple-double last night, dropping 27 points, 15 assists and 13 rebounds in front of the home crowd.

The Lakers revised their game plan in order to contain Hornet Chris Paul. The game plan meant that the normal offensive star, Kobe Bryant, was instead asked to step up on defense. The series is now tied at 1-1.

    After a rough few games leading up to the final two games of the season, the Los Angeles Lakers managed to rally in order to win their final two games of the season. Their last win was on Wednesday, April 13 when they topped the Sacramento Kings 116-108 in overtime. The Lakers let the kings come back in a major way in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Lakers 29-11, which required a saving three-pointer by Kobe Bryant to take the game into overtime. The Lakers came back to outscore the Kings in overtime 17-9.
