Odom Wins Award

The Los Angeles Lakers have a long road—and many games—ahead of them before they can take home the national championship trophy. Although the Lakers have gotten accustomed to winning the trophy in the past years, it is always nice to add more hardware to the trophy case, and Lakers forward Lamar Odom can do just that.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Odom has been named the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year. The award is given to a player who played after coming off of the bench more times that he started a game, and Odom fits that. He was far and away the favorite for the award, earning a score of 513 in the voting and the most points he could get is 585. The closest player behind Odom was Jason Terry of the Dallas Mavericks, and he had 244 points.  Third place was the Thaddeus Young of the Philadelphia 76ers with 76 points.

Odom is still impressing with the rest of the team during the postseason. Be there to cheer them on by reserving Los Angeles Lakers tickets from StubHub.
