Lakers Win In OT To Finish Regular Season

After a rough few games leading up to the final two games of the season, the Los Angeles Lakers managed to rally in order to win their final two games of the season. Their last win was on Wednesday, April 13 when they topped the Sacramento Kings 116-108 in overtime. The Lakers let the kings come back in a major way in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Lakers 29-11, which required a saving three-pointer by Kobe Bryant to take the game into overtime. The Lakers came back to outscore the Kings in overtime 17-9.

The game was a hard-fought match, punctuated by moments of brilliance and slip-ups by both teams. The fan atmosphere was also quite memorable, according to ESPN. Bryant had an impressive 36 points, nine rebounds, six assists, one steal and one block. Lamar Odom added 22 points of his own. The win helped the Lakers lock up the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference playoffs. The Lakers now have a few days to prepare before facing the New Orleans Hornets on Sunday to kick off the first series of the playoffs.
