The Los Angeles Lakers are prepping for Game Two of their playoff series against the New Orleans Hornets today, Wednesday, April 20. This game holds even more weight in the light of the Lakers’ 109-100 loss to the Hornets during Game One. The players have dissected the first game completely, at least that is how it seems in light of comments from make of the players.
One player that has reflected deeply on the game is Lakers star Pau Gasol. Gasol has fielded criticism for his performance, but he knows that he needs to step up in Game Two. According to ESPN, Pau Gasol said, “I expect myself to perform, it’s not what anybody else thinks or believes. I know when I play well and when I play bad and my first game was bad. I need to play better. So, I don’t need to focus on the obvious or comments that are not positive. It is what it is. It’s part of the deal.”
The Lakers need a win tonight in order to keep themselves in the competition. One of the best ways to be a part of the Lakers’ postseason journey is to be there to cheer them on. Get Los Angeles Lakers tickets from StubHub.
