Ever since the Los Angeles Lakers finished their season in the second round of the playoffs, NBA analysts have been talking nonstop about what should happen next year. Coach Phil Jackson isn’t coming back next year, but he isn’t the only one who is expected to depart.
According to NBC, Lakers star Kobe Bryant bucked back against some analysts saying that some of the stars of the Lakers should be discarded for new talent next season. Bryant opined, “This is nonsense. remember [the Lakers] had a pretty good era in the ’80s and they didn’t win three [titles] in a row. They didn’t break that team up….If you’re asking me do I believe we can come back and do it again. I absolutely believe that we can come back and do it again.”
The Lakers certainly have a lot of talent in their lineup, and fans are likely hoping that most if not all of those players will return next season. The Lakers now have some time to rest and prepare for the offseason. When the new season begins again, be there to cheer them on by reserving Los Angeles Lakers tickets from StubHub.
