Lincecum, Hernandez Still Elite
March 23, 2012Here are the top starting pitching options following Roy Halladay, Justin Verlander, Cliff Lee, Jared Weaver and Clayton Kershaw.
6. Felix Hernandez, Seattle Mariners:
Hernandez unfortunately pitches for the team that scored the least runs in the league in 2011, so you can’t expect a lot of wins for King Felix. Having said that, he typically pitches very deep into the game, racks up strikeouts and wins just about every time the Mariners put up any runs.

Halladay Remains Top Hurler
February 26, 2012With spring training here and baseball right around the corner, here’s a look at the top starting pitchers in all of baseball.
1. Roy Halladay, Philadelphia Phillies:
Even though Halladay isn’t as dynamic as some of the other pitchers in the league, nobody is as consistent or resilient as Doc. Halladay almost always seems to go the distance or come close, and he comes off of another spectacular 2011 season.

Montero Makes Mariners Better
January 27, 2012After scoring the least amount of runs in the entire league in 2011, the Seattle Mariners clearly needed a boost. Hopefully the incredibly talented Jesus Montero will be someone who can give them a shot in the arm, something the lineup clearly needs if they’re going to get back to their winning ways. Montero, who showed signs of being a very complete hitter with power in his brief time with the Yankees, now will sit in the heart of the order, where he’ll hopefully give them a power boost. Just a season ago, the Mariners’ top power hitter, Miguel Olivo, hit just 19 homers and led the team in RBIs with a ludicrously low 62.
