Here’s a look at the other outfielders who can help you produce following Ryan Braun, Jacoby Ellsbury, Matt Kemp, Jose Bautista and Curtis Granderson.

    6.  Andrew McCutchen, Pittsburgh Pirates:

The downside for McCutchen is that he plays in Pittsburgh, but he also has free range to stay very aggressive on the base paths.  With 30-stolen base potential and some real pop in his bat, McCutchen is a fun player who looks to be on the rise.

  • N.L. East Preview
    February 4, 2012

Though the Philadelphia Phillies have failed to get back and win a World Series the last few years, they remain the clear favorite in the N.L. East heading into the 2012 season, something that the Braves and Marlins would love to take away from them.  After running away with the N.L. East last season, even though Cliff Lee was less than dominant early in the 2011 season, the Phillies once again look like the top team in the entire league on paper.  Led by Lee, Roy Halladay, Roy Oswalt and Cole Hamels, the Phillies still have four pitchers with ace potential, and now their lineup is diverse and powerful with guys like Hunter Pence added into the mix with a healthy Chase Utley and Ryan Howard.

  • Cards Dump Lee, Phillies
    October 3, 2011

With a one game lead in the NLDS and Cliff Lee on the mound, it looked like the Philadelphia Phillies were ready to take a strangle hold of the series, though the St. Louis Cardinals had other plans.  The Cards stormed back from a 4-0 deficit for a 5-4 win, evening the series and making Phillies fans chew their fingernails in the process.  Not surprisingly, it was Albert Pujols who delivered the big hit in the seventh, propelling the Cards to the lead and eventually the win.  Now, the Cardinals get to go home after taking home-field advantage from away from the Phillies, making it a series that is very much up-for-grabs at this point.

  • Lee Notches 17th Win
    September 26, 2011

In Cliff Lee’s final regular season start, he didn’t even have his best stuff, though it was enough to sink the Atlanta Braves and keep the St. Louis Cardinals in the thick of the race for the Wildcard.  Lee ended up going six innings, letting up two earned runs and improving his record to 17-8 on the season.  With the win, Lee finished the season with a 2.40 ERA, putting him right in the running for the N.L. Cy Young.  For Lee, who started the season slowly, the 2011 season has once again solidified him as one of the absolute top pitchers in the league, a guy capable of being as dominant as anyone when he’s truly locked on.

  • Lee, Phillies Finish Off Marlins
    September 16, 2011

After beating the Marlins in the first game of a double-headers, the Philadelphia Phillies were in a dogfight in the second game, though they ended up pulling it off with a clutch hit from Ryan Howard.  In the game, Cliff Lee came up just shy of yet another complete game shutout, losing the lead in the ninth inning after dominating for eight innings.  Lee still ended up going nine complete innings, striking out 12, walking zero and lowering his ERA to 2.38.  Though Lee didn’t end up getting the win, he had yet another completely dominant performance as he looks to go toe-to-toe with Roy Halladay for the Cy Young in the National League.

  • Lee, Phillies Dominate Braves
    September 6, 2011

The Phillies didn’t need a gem from Cliff Lee on Monday, but they got one.  Cliff Lee tossed yet another complete game shutout as the Phillies hit the ball around the park on the Braves, enough for a 9-0 win against their division rivals.  For Lee, it was his sixth shutout of the season, showing once again that he’s capable of being the most dominant pitcher in all of baseball.  Lee once again didn’t walk a batter, struck out six and let up just five hits and slid out with the complete game throwing just 100 total pitches.  The win for Lee ended up being his 16th of the season, completing his complete turnaround after struggling earlier in the year.

  • Worley Dominates Again
    August 24, 2011

Though his name certainly didn’t inspire fear in major league hitters a year ago, batters are starting to take notice to Vance Worley.  Worley ended up going seven strong innings on Tuesday night, letting up just one earned run and notching his ninth win of the season.  With a 2.65 ERA and a 9-1 record, Worley is one of the surprises of the entire baseball season and he continues to dominate National League lineups as the Phillies look to figure out what they’re doing with their starting rotation.
