    Many people had forgotten just how big of a talent Prince Fielder was heading into the season.  Though the powerful left-hander had already put a couple big seasons, a bizarre 2010 season pushed him off the edge when most fantasy gurus were talking about elite hitters.  But that has changed a bit with a spectacular 2011 campaign so far for Fielder, who was the centerpiece of a 5-1 National League victory over the American League in Tuesday’s All-Star game.  Fielder bashed a three-run homer in the first that clipped the top of the wall, giving the N.L. a lead that they never gave back up.  With the Brewers looking to take down the N.L. Central this year, the home-field advantage won by the N.L. could even come in handy for Fielder and the Brew Crew.

  • Hudson Outshines Greinke

    Last night’s Braves-Brewers game was billed as Zack Greinke’s debut for Milwaukee, but he was easily overshadowed by opposing starting pitcher Tim Hudson, who pitched a complete game one-hitter to secure the win for the Bravos.  Hudson faced just 29 batters on the night, while struggled.  The former American League Cy Young winner lasted just four innings, giving up five runs in the process.  “I guess the end result’s bad. For the most part, I pitched decent,” Greinke said after the game.  ”The way Hudson was pitching it wouldn’t matter anyway.”
