Now i'm from Germany and now we can be very proud of Dirk Nowotzki. A German born is a really superstar inside the finest basketball league on earth. We are excited how the People in the usa celebrate "our own" Dirk. This is probably less well recognized in the usa.

As much as I dislike Duke - I must admit that I'm happy to see WVU eliminated. There is something about Bob Huggins that rubs me wrong , kinda like a Catholic priest touching your package.

He has hornswoggled his way through the NCAA for years and rarely does anyone from his program graduate. He recently stated that it is a good thing that kids can't go directly from high school to the NBA. Sure, Huggy bear - so you can one and done em.
I look for his program along with that of Baylor (from rags to riches a little too quickly) to get some sort of sanctions soon for illegalities and possibly player playoffs.

I am a Washingtonian and like Georgetown and Maryland. This means that you do not root for Duke!
However, today I did because I feel Duke probably does it the right way and we all know Huggins does not!

You know, a smart move by Morrison would be to offer to renegotiate his current contract: He should take half of the salary for 2 years instead of one so not only could the team afford to sign Odom but Morrison could get an additional year to find his niche with the Lakers. Also, everyone knows he is overpaid right now. This would be a way of taking one for the team and turning that around---or he can just keep cashing those checks for a few more months.

[...] Yesterday a screed was published in the Chicago Sun-Times (and commented on here) about Bulls chairman Jerry Reinsdorf being cheap. But on Monday, Reinsdorf was already defending his own abilities as a manager, saying he was somewhat taken aback by Phoenix Suns’ coach Mike D’Antoni meeting with him for the Bulls coaching position, then running to the open arms of the New York Knicks.
[...] But Yahoo Sports! is now reporting (again, according to unknown sources), that Izzo was never a serious candidate. To be sure, this isn’t a surprise. Izzo said he hadn’t been contacted by the Bulls when he was initial interviewed for the first story. The sources Yahoo Sports! are talking to now say it’s just an “Internet rumor.” Ah, the Internet.
